From Dependence to Self-Reliance
Many young people in the tribal villages of Udaipur and southern Rajasthan have the talent and drive to succeed, but few opportunities to learn market-ready skills. Devbharati Tribal Foundation, a Section 8 NGO working across tribal Rajasthan, runs skill development and livelihood programs that turn that potential into real income and dignity.
A single skill can change the direction of an entire family's future.
Why Skill Development Matters
Without stable work, families often rely on seasonal or daily-wage labour that keeps them trapped in poverty. By equipping tribal youth with practical, in-demand skills, we help them earn steady incomes, support their families, and reinvest in their own communities.
Our Livelihood and Skill Programs
- Vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, and local trades
- Computer and digital literacy for better job readiness
- Guidance on self-employment, micro-enterprise, and small business setup
- Support for self-help groups and community cooperatives
- Financial literacy and savings awareness
Creating Lasting Impact
When a young person learns a trade, the benefits ripple outward — children stay in school, families eat better, and the whole village becomes more self-reliant. Our programs are designed to build not just skills, but confidence and long-term independence.
